Condition:		Excellent. Shows some wear commensurate with age. A few small nicks in the jet links.

Description:		A pair of watch chains, both from the 1890s, linked together to form a necklace. The black chain is jet, a rare form of fossilized coal often used in mourning jewelry. Jet chains are extremely rare. The gold chain is exceptionally heavy for a solid gold chain, and has a very nice curb link. Assembled from period materials at Erie Basin.
